A PRAYER FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION  Against Evil, Greed, and Division
Heavenly Father,

We come before You in humility and reverence, acknowledging that You alone are the Sovereign Lord over all creation. We see the signs all around us—disease and pestilence, wars and disasters, division and deception, greed and corruption, racism and hatred. The world groans under the weight of sin, and we cry out to You for deliverance. Lord, we see the spread of sickness, the loss of life in air crashes, the destruction caused by fires and floods, and the looming threats of war and famine. We see economies failing, people losing their livelihoods, and fear gripping the hearts of many. We see greed ruling over justice, division tearing apart families and nations, and racism fueling hatred where there should be love. Father, we call upon You to remove this evil from our midst! Expose the darkness, scatter the plans of the enemy, and bring healing to our land. Let those who sow discord and exploit others for power be humbled before You. Let the love of Christ break every chain of hatred, division, and injustice. Lord, we ask for wisdom to discern truth from deception. Strengthen the weary, uphold the righteous, and soften the hearts of those consumed by selfishness and pride. Let Your Spirit move among us, restoring peace where there is strife and unity where there is division. We rebuke the spirit of greed that oppresses the poor, the spirit of racism that divides Your people, and the spirit of destruction that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We plead for Your mercy, Lord. Turn hearts back to You, that we may seek righteousness and walk in Your ways.
Let Your kingdom come, and let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We stand on the promise that You are our refuge and fortress, our ever-present help in trouble. In You, we place our trust. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

JONAH

WHEN JONAH DISOBEYED GOD THE WHOLE SHIP WAS IN TROUBLE - It could be dangerous for you to hang around the rebellious. Because when God's hand moves in judgement you may wind up experiencing the same fate. - ".....The sea was getting rougher and rougher. So they asked him, “What should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us?” 12“ Pick me up and throw me into the sea,” he replied, “and it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you.” Jonah 1:11,12- Don't become the "Man Over Board" because of your rebellion to God. “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” Proverbs 13:20 

The story of Jonah is such a vivid reminder that disobedience doesn't just affect us alone; it can cause storms in the lives of those around us too. Jonah’s rebellion brought danger to innocent sailors who had nothing to do with his calling or his choices, yet they found themselves in the middle of a violent storm because of his disobedience.

— Proverbs 13:20 drives that point home: "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed." Sometimes, the company we keep can either steer us toward peace or drag us into a storm.

It's a warning and a call to self-check: Am I Jonah in someone else’s boat? Or am I letting a Jonah sail with me, risking my peace?

    THE SPIRIT OF GREED

Greed is a fat demon with a small mouth and whatever you feed it is never enough. This repulsive spirit; this demon of the abyss can attach itself to your life. See to it that you "Give no place to the devil." ARE YOU GREEDY? "YOU WOULD KNOW IT IF YOU ARE AND SO WILL GOD. Then He ( Jesus) said to them, “WATCH OUT ! Be on your guard against ALL KINDS OF GREED; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”Luke 12:15 - GREED IS A ENEMY OF GOD. Greed is selfishness. The flesh of a greedy person can never be satisfied. They can never get enough! It's ok to have things in life ; it's when the things have you becomes the problem. God is our source of supply in all things and He has given us provisions. We have dozens and dozens of resources available to us all here on earth. The earth itself has enough resources for every person in it to live comfortably. However there are people in power who choose to hoard it all. This spirit greed upon them in the end will ultimately fail them. Many are trapped in the game of greed. They say get all that you can .. but God will say.....He who dies with the most toys still dies. YOU WILL STAND BEFORE GOD WITH THAT SPIRIT UPON YOUR BACK IF YOU DON'T GET DELIVERED FROM IT. You don't have to have any possessions to be a greedy person all just the heart of it. Ask God to remove this evil spirit from your life and He will but make sure you remove yourself from situations that promote greed. "Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven"Matt 19:23

"Watch out! Be on your guard against ALL kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” — Luke 12:15

You don’t have to be rich to be greedy.
You just need a heart that refuses to be content.
Greed is selfish. Greed is flesh.
Greed is an enemy of God.

You can have things — just don’t let the things have you.
🌍 There are enough resources on this earth for everyone to live well,
but the spirit of greed hoards, controls, and destroys.

They say: “Get all you can.”
God says: “You’ll still die with all those toys.”

⚠️ You will stand before God — and if that spirit is still riding on your back, it will testify against you.

🚪 Ask God to deliver you.
🛑 Step away from anything that fuels the fire of greed.
💡 Choose contentment. Choose freedom. Choose God as your source.

                 FLEE FORNICATION

- Run from it! Every sin that a man does is without the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body. What? Don't you know that YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WHICH IS IN YOU, which you have of God, and you are not your own? – 1 Corinthians 6:18-19. If you are a born again Christian  Believer, your body is literally the temple for the Holy Spirit, who you received at the moment you believed in the Lord Jesus Christ. Notice that the the Apostle Paul explains this concept in the context of sexual sin. FORNICATION, which is sexual activity outside of marriage, is just as sacrilegious and disrespectful to the temple of God as setting up satanic altars. How have you treated the temple of the Holy Spirit? Have you protected your body from sin? Have you kept it pure from demonic and satanic influence? Have you kept your eyes and mind away from sinful sexual imagery and thoughts?  Have you used your body to seduce others into evil? REPENT BEFORE GOD; ask God to forgive you. - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1John 1:9 - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. – Galatians 5:16. TRUE WORSHIP IS NOT TIED TO A PLACE BUT A LIFESTYLE-

The Samaritan woman in John 4:14 said that the ability to worship God was tied to a place. She wanted to know what the best place was to go and to truly worship God. Was it Jerusalem or was it Samaria? She believed as many do today that worshipping God was tied to geography. Jesus said to her yes you are right it is tied to a place but not a geographical one. It is a spiritual place that those who are going to worship me must get into so that they can worship Me in Spirit and in Truth. Worship is a life style and true worship can be whenever and wherever you step into the realm of God's Spirit. His presence makes the difference. -  The woman said to Jesus ..."But say, tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?”  Jesus replied, “The time is coming, ma’am, when we will no longer be concerned about whether to worship the Father here or in Jerusalem. "FOR IT IS NOT WHERE WE WORSHIP THAT COUNTS ,BUT HOW WE WORSHIP"—is our worship spiritual and real? Do we have the Holy Spirit’s help? For God is Spirit, and we must have his help to worship as we should. The Father wants this kind of worship from us. But you Samaritans know so little about him, worshiping blindly, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes to the world through the Jews.”John 414-20 Speaking the Truth In Love!

GOD DOESN’T SEE COLOR — HE SEES THE HUMAN RACE

Let’s be clear: God is not color blind—He is color celebrating. He made every shade of skin, every ethnicity, every culture, on purpose and for His glory.

But when it comes to the condition of our hearts, He doesn’t judge by the outward appearance—He looks deeper. He sees the color of sin, and that’s where every human stands on equal ground.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
“All our righteousness is as filthy rags.” – Isaiah 64:6

It doesn’t matter your background, your skin tone, your culture, or your heritage—we all come to the foot of the cross needing a Savior. There are no spiritual VIPs. We all need grace. And praise God—grace is for all.


GOD MADE US DIFFERENT ON PURPOSE

Yes, God sees color—because He created color. Just as He made flowers in a variety of colors, oceans in different hues, and birds in countless shades—He made humanity diverse, and it reflects His beauty. Our differences are not something to be tolerated—they’re something to be celebrated. And when His children live in unity across these differences, it brings Him joy.

“From one blood He made all nations of men to dwell on all the face of the earth...” – Acts 17:26

We all belong to the same race—the human race. And in Christ, we are one new man, one body, one family.


GOD IS NOT A RACIST, AND NEITHER IS HIS SEED

If God is love—and He is—then those who are born of Him must walk in love. Racism is a work of the flesh. It’s rooted in pride, fear, and ignorance. And it has no place in the Kingdom of God.

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” – 1 John 4:8
“Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar.” – 1 John 4:20

The people of God are people lovers. They don’t care what you look like, they care about who you are—because every soul matters to God.


THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS COLORFUL AND GLOBAL

Heaven will not be a place of segregation. It won’t be divided by race, language, or tribe. The Bible gives us a glimpse of the heavenly throne room:

“After this I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.” – Revelation 7:9

Every nation. Every people. Every language. Worshipping together, as one body, one bride, before one Lamb—Jesus Christ.


SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR US TODAY?

It means we must love like Jesus. It means we must speak against racism, division, and hatred—not in anger, but in truth and love. It means we must walk out the Gospel, not just preach it.

Let’s reflect the Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. Let’s be people who love across lines, build bridges, and embrace God’s beautiful, colorful creation.

YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU THINK

Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you. They are supposed to help you discover who you are. Who are you? You are a citizen of heaven. You are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Know this: THE STRUGGLE AND THE PAIN you are in today is developing the strength you need to press through to your tomorrow. Never give up, give out or give into darkness you are more than a conqueror in Jesus! YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO LIVE YOUR LIFE WITHOUT HIM. YOU NEED JESUS like you need oxygen. You were given this life because you were strong enough to live it, so don’t waste it; Trust God! Don't allow the world to blow out your candle. Stir up the gift that is within you (Fan the flames of passion within) 2 Tim 1:6. Understand that your....”True strength" is holding it all together when others would understand if you fell apart. YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU THINK! You are flexible, pliable, unshakable, bendable; unbreakable you cannot be crushed by the temporary affairs and ills of this life. You have a indestructible heredity; you have been chosen by God to win in every area of life. Don't become your own worst enemy by living in denial of who you were created to be. Trust in God in everything you do and NEVER lean to your own understanding. JESUS WILL RESCUE YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN! Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you through your storms. He will be in the fire and go through the fire with you. You have power with God! Learn to "Give God your weakness" and He will give you His strength. IF I REGARD INIQUITY IN MY HEART, THE LORD WILL NOT HEAR ME


The reason for unanswered prayer.

"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me."
—Psalm 66:18

King David, a man after God’s own heart, also acknowledged his fallen nature:
"Behold, I was shaped in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me."
—Psalm 51:5

There is an important distinction between sin and iniquity:

  • Sin is often visible—it’s the outward, physical act of breaking God’s law.
    Examples: Stealing a purse, committing adultery—acts that violate clear commandments such as:
    “You shall not steal.”
    “You shall not commit adultery.”

  • Iniquity, however, is deeper. It’s the hidden condition of the heart—the internal lawlessness that no one else sees. It’s jealousy, envy, bitterness, unforgiveness, and secret hatred. These are not seen by the naked eye, but God sees them all.

Iniquity is more dangerous than visible sin because it lurks beneath the surface, quietly corrupting the heart and waiting for the opportunity to act.

Think of Cain, who killed his brother Abel. Before the act, there was iniquity—unseen resentment building in his heart. God warned him, but Cain ignored it.

“With iniquity, every sin you commit, you commit it first in your heart.”

You think it before you do it. You meditate on it before it manifests. That’s why Jesus said:

“But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
—Matthew 5:28

The men who wanted to stone the woman caught in adultery (John 8) may not have committed the physical act themselves, but perhaps they harbored lustful thoughtsand Jesus knew it.

God sees everything—He sees the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Of Lucifer, God said:
"You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, until iniquity was found in you."
—Ezekiel 28:15

David, too, experienced this. He allowed iniquity into his heart, which led him to take Bathsheba and have her husband killed. The sword did not depart from his house. But later, in true repentance, he prayed:

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
—Psalm 51:10

If you are harboring iniquity in your heart today, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it and help you remove it. He will. God is merciful and desires truth in the inward parts.

Iniquity is the hidden violation of God’s law—but God sees it all. And the Bible is clear:

“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”
—Psalm 66:18

Let us come before God honestly. Ask Him, in the name of Jesus, to cleanse your heart. He is faithful.

SOMETIMES WE FORGET

 ...what God has done for us. 
There are many things in our lives that can lead us to forget about the Lord and how He has blessed us. Moses warned the Israelites about this before they entered the promised land. We must listen to this warning!So have you had times that you have forgotten the Lord? Have you allowed your love for this life and the things in it to lead you to forget the Lord? We need to be aware of this danger. "Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping the commandments that He gives us in His word; otherwise, when you have eaten and are satisfied, and have built good houses and lived in them, your money and you credit cards multiply, and all that you have multiplies, then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God who brought you out of the condemnation that sin causes, out of the house of slavery.” He has led you through the great and terrible wilderness of this life and has taken care of your every need. "He feeds you the Bread of Life, and wants to do good for you in the end. Do not say in your hearts "My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.' "But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, and to give you all of the spiritual blessings that you have in Christ, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. 19 "It shall come about if you ever forget the LORD your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, such as your wealth, your possessions, or even yourself (anything you put before the Lord), I testify against you today that you will surely perish. 20 "Like the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, even as the Lord’s people of old who have forgotten the Lord, so you shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your God. info

THE SIMPLICITY OF THE GOSPEL

“How does the thief on the cross fit into your theology? No baptism, no communion, no confirmation, no speaking in tongues, no mission trip, no volunteerism, and no church clothes. He couldn’t even bend his knees to pray. He didn’t say the sinner's prayer and among other things, he was a thief. Jesus didn’t take away his pain, heal his body, or smite the scoffers. Yet it was a thief who walked into heaven the same hour as Jesus simply by believing. He had nothing more to offer other than his belief that Jesus was who he said he was. No spin from brilliant theologians. No ego or arrogance. No Shiny lights, skinny jeans, or crafty words. No haze machine, donuts, or coffee in the entrance. Just a naked dying man on a cross unable to even fold his hands to pray.”

For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believed in him would not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

The Thief on the Cross Wrecks Religion.

No baptism.
No communion.
No confirmation.
No speaking in tongues.
No mission trips.
No volunteering.
No church clothes.
Not even a sinner’s prayer.

He was a criminal. A dying man.
And yet —
He believed.

He didn’t climb down and prove his faith.
He didn’t earn a thing.
He just looked at Jesus and trusted Him.
That was enough.

Jesus didn’t take away his pain…
He gave him paradise.

No lights. No hype. No coffee in the lobby.
Just a naked man dying on a cross next to the Son of God.

"For God so loved the world..."
It’s still that simple.

Grace. Alone. Through faith. Alone. In Christ. Alone.

GOD ISN’T MAKING YOU SICK AND HE'S DOESN'T MAKE YOU SICK TO TEACH YOU SOMETHING -

Tradition has some thinking that God chastises His children with sickness. The scripture is quoted, a part of which says, 'Whom the Lord loves he chastens"(Heb 12:6-8). God does chasten those whom He loves, but it does not say He makes them sick. The word chasten here means '"TO INSTRUCT, TO TRAIN, DISCIPLINE, TEACH , OR TO EDUCATE", like a teacher instructs a pupil, or like a parent trains and teaches a child. GOD IS OUR HEALER  AND GOD IS LOVE! He doesn't make you sick. If anyone is making you sick it's either you or the devil. Smoking ,drinking, drugs, sugar, salt, lack of sleep, no exercise, anger, unforgiving spirit, stress, worry ( you have heard it said ....."You are going to worry your self sick; and we can). The devil will encourage you to kill yourself if you listen to him. The word of God says .... "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour 1Peter 5:8 - "Give No Place To The Devil Eph 4:27 - Speaking The Truth in Love!

WE MUST OBEY GOD RATHER THAN MAN 

Some have asked me my thoughts on Romans Chapter13. “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God Rom 13:1-7. Yes the Constitution is ordained by God (The higher power) and it should be obeyed. However it’s Interesting that the Bible is filled with Godly individuals who defied authority when they were commanded to do ACTS OF EVIL. Daniel disobeyed Darius and went to the lions den. Moses’ parents hid him from Pharaoh as a baby. Rahab lied to protect the Hebrew spies. Paul was constantly being jailed, beaten, and scourged because he would not stop preaching the Good News. Jesus himself also repeatedly defied the powerful political and religious leaders of his day. So much so, that Jesus finally got nailed to a Roman cross for it! Many religious teachers have not clearly understood Romans 13 in context and some have twisted the scriptures for control by saying evil leaders must be obeyed no matter what (It’s important to include all scripture 2 Tim 3:17,17 in order to understand these scriptures in Rom 13 and not read into them Pauls intent). The fact that God has ordained all authority does not mean all authority should be obeyed. (IT’S SIMPLE: IF THE AUTHORITY IS GOOD THEN IT SHOULD BE OBEYED IF NOT WE SHOULD OBEY GOD) It is right to resist what God has APPOINTED in order to obey what God has COMMANDED. (God’s appointment of Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, Darius, Pilate, Domitian, Bloody Mary, Adolf Hitler, and Idi Amin may be for our testing Deut 13:3) Will we save our lives and submit to the ruling authority, or will we say with Peter, "We must obey God rather than men," and risk our lives for what’s right? When verse 5 says we are to be subject in order to avoid wrath, it means the punishment that comes from wrongdoing, not from obedience to Christ. I Peter 4:15, 16 makes this issue clearer. It says, "Let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or a wrongdoer or a mischief-maker; yet if one suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but under that name let him glorify God." In other words, strive to avoid incurring wrath for wrongdoing, but if doing what Christ demands brings wrath, don't have a guilty conscience, glorify God. Again ….There is no authority except from God. Every leader must humbly confess he or she is where he is by virtue of God's sovereign appointment. Nevertheless, some rulers and governments are good, and some are bad. Some reward the right and punish the wrong. Others do the reverse. Most do a little of both. THEREFORE THE DEMAND FOR SUBJECTION IS RELATIVE, NOT ABSOLUTE. It depends on whether the demands of the governing authorities require us to disobey Jesus. If they do, we will not be subject at that point but will say with Peter, "We must obey God rather than men." We will honor God above the state. But if the demands of the state do not require us to disobey Jesus (as with speed limits, stop signs, income taxes, curfews, building codes, fishing licenses, and many other laws), we will be subject for the Lord's sake 1 Peter 2:13 And it is very important to stress that, just as we may have to disobey the civil authorities for Christ's sake, so all our obedience should be for his sake as well. WE NEVER HAVE TWO MASTERS. All our submission to man is not only limited by the lordship of Christ; it is also an expression of our yieldedness to that lordship. Every time we say yes to any law, it should be a yes to Jesus. “Romans 13 is a treatise by Paul and the Apostles on the institution of model government (Good government). As we rightly divide the word of truth and take this passage in its total context, we will discover seven truths: 1.Good government is ordained by God. 2. Government officials are to be good ministers who represent God. 3. We the people must obey good and godly laws. 4. As we relate Romans 13 to America, our Constitution is the higher power. 5. Good government is not to be feared. 6. In America, we are to pay honor and custom constitutional taxes to whom it is due 7. Government is to protect the righteous and punish the wicked.  DON'T WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW!

Let that sink in. This isn't just a suggestion—it’s a command from the mouth of the Savior Himself. He knows us. He knows our tendency to fret, to overthink, to borrow trouble from days that haven’t even arrived. That’s why in Matthew 6:34, Jesus says clearly:

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

That means today—right now—is enough for you to carry. God gives us daily grace for our daily challenges. He doesn’t hand out tomorrow’s grace today. That’s why worry feels so heavy—it’s trying to live a day that hasn’t even come yet, with strength that hasn’t been given yet.


Is it ever really tomorrow?

Think about that. The idea of “tomorrow” is always just that—an idea. A concept. As soon as you step into what you called “tomorrow,” it transforms into today. You never actually experience tomorrow; you only ever live in today. That’s where God meets you. That’s where His Spirit works. That’s where your peace is found.

“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)

Not yesterday, not tomorrowthis day, today.


Today Is the Tomorrow You Worried About Yesterday

How many times have you stressed about something that ended up working itself out? Or maybe the thing you feared never even happened. That’s because worry is a thief. It robs your joy, drains your energy, and distracts you from the presence of God right now.

God didn’t design us to live in the future. He designed us to walk with Him one day at a time. Just like the Israelites received fresh manna every morning in the wilderness, God gives us just what we need for this day—no more, no less.


Cast All Your Cares on Jesus—Because He Cares for You! (1 Peter 5:7)

Jesus isn’t distant or indifferent. He cares. He sees. He understands. And He’s already in your today and your tomorrow. So take that heavy backpack of worry off your shoulders and place it at His feet. You weren’t built to carry it—but He is.


So what do we do?
We live today. We trust Jesus. We rest in His care.
We speak the truth in love, just like you're doing now.

Have you ever had one of those days when nothing seems to go RIGHT? The ALARM CLOCK doesn’t go off leaving you only 15 minutes to get to WORK. After getting ready you RUSH to your CAR only to discover a FLAT TIRE. You hurriedly CHANGE the TIRE and SPEED OFF to work, and then you are PULLED over by the POLICE. After receiving your TICKET you get to work and your boss chews you out. Well, I hope none of you had your day start off this bad but if it you did its over with so don't allow it to stress you out. No!, you don't need a pill or a drink YOU NEED JESUS! " - Call on Jesus to flood your spirit with His presence and begin to REJOICE IN THE LORD!  That bible says to "Rejoice in the Lord always". I will say it again: Rejoice! (Why rejoice? because the Word of God says so!....No one got run over; you didn't get fired- You are still here and tomorrow is another day- You have a lot to be thankful for) Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things" Phil 4:5-8 - Know that! ...Stress will kill you. THE FOLDED NAPKIN

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection?

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which had been placed over Jesus’ face, was not thrown aside like the rest of the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to point out that the napkin was neatly folded and placed separately at the head of the tomb. Is that important? Absolutely!

To understand the significance of the folded napkin, you need to know a bit about Hebrew tradition at that time. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant relationship—and every Jewish boy would have known this tradition.

When a servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure it was exactly the way the master desired. Then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating. The servant would not dare touch the table until the master signaled he was done.

If the master had finished eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, mouth, and beard, and wad up the napkin, tossing it onto the table. That wad of cloth signaled, “I’m done.” But if the master folded the napkin and laid it neatly beside his plate, the servant would not touch the table, because the folded napkin meant: “I’m not finished yet.”

The folded napkin in the tomb was a message:
“I’m coming back!”

We have this promise—He is coming back!

COALS OF FIRE - UNDERSTANDING THIS METAPHOR -

Jesus said,
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. For in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.” —Romans 12:20

I’ve heard this verse quoted more times than I can count—often by Christians praying for their enemies—but, sadly, with the wrong motive. Some use it almost like a spiritual weapon, hoping God will torment their enemy’s soul, burn down their house, cause a car wreck, or bring some other calamity to “serve them right.” In essence, they want to make their enemy miserable, not bless them.

But that is not the heart of this Scripture.

To understand what Paul—and Jesus—meant, we must look at the cultural and biblical context. The metaphor of heaping coals of fire on someone’s head has often been misunderstood in the Western world as a kind of divine payback. But Scripture clearly commands us:

“Do not repay evil with evil.”
“Do not take revenge.”
“Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. —Romans 12:19

Instead, we are called to bless our enemies:

  • Feed them when they’re hungry.

  • Give them something to drink when they’re thirsty.

  • Show them kindness when they expect hatred.

These are all acts of grace and generosity—not vengeance.

So what does it mean to "heap coals of fire on his head"?

In the biblical era, fire was a valuable and necessary resource. People didn’t have lighters or matches. A fire kept burning was life-sustaining—for cooking, warmth, and light. If someone’s fire went out, they would go to a neighbor to request live coals to restart their fire. When a person gave not just one coal, but a full supply—enough to carry in a container on their head, as was the custom—they were giving a great blessing.

So rather than being a metaphor for punishment, the phrase "heap coals of fire" actually implies:

“Bless them abundantly—give more than they asked for.”

It’s a picture of generous kindness, not revenge.

The Lord will handle the justice. Your part is to love.
As Paul concludes in Romans 12:21:

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

This chapter teaches us a powerful lesson in grace, mercy, and generous compassion, even toward those who wrong us.

I want to remind each of us we were made in the image of God. This profound truth is the cornerstone of self love. When we recognize our creation in God’s image it invites us to view ourselves through a lens of divine love and worth 
Psalms 139:14 - I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made your world are wonderful I know full well.  Loving your neighbor as yourself Is a necessity of self -love - to extend it to others we must hold it for ourselves recognizing our worth and valve in God’s eyes  1Corinthians 6:19-20 - Do you not know your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit  who is in you. Whom you have received from God…..You are not your own you were bought with a price Therefor phone God with your bodies. Ephesians 2:10 - For we are  god’s handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do. SELF LOVE IS NOT ALWAYS ABOUT NARCISSISM OR SELF ABSORPTION RATHER ITS ABOUT ACKNOWLEDGING OUR HUMANITY - OUR STRENGTHS. Self haterd involves negative self talk, critical judgement and a belief that on is unworthy or inadequate -Self hate sabotages our ability to love and to accept ourselves  WE ARE TO LOVE OTHERS AS WE LOVE OURSELVES. HOW CAN WE GIVE WHAT WE DON’T  POSSESS. TO LOVE OUR NEIGHBORS AS OURSELVES WE MUST FIRST HOLD A DEEP ABIDING LOVE FOR WHO WE ARE , RECOGNIZING OUR OWN WORTH AND TREATING OURSELVES WITH KINDNESS AND RESPECT 
UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE VALUABLE NOT BECUSE OF YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS , POSSESSIONS OR THE WAY YOU LOOK. BUT SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU EXIST. YOUR WORTH IS NATURAL AND UNCHANGEABLE 
BE KIND TO YOURSELF PRACTICE SELF COMPASSION . DON’T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF DURING DIFFICULT TIME - INSTEAD OF BEING SELF CRITICAL BE KIND AND COMPASSIONATE WITH YOURSELF- OFFER YOURSELF THE KINDNESS AND COMPASSION YOU WOULD OFFER A FRIEND  - FORGIVE YOURSELF - EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES. SELF LOVE INVOLVES FORGIVING YOURSELF FOR YOUR PAST MISTAKES AND UNDERSTAND THAT THEY DO NOT DEFINE YOU 
SELF LOVES INVOLVES TAKING CARE OF YOUR PHYSICAL NEEDS ( LIKE ETING HALTHY, EXERCISING AND GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP) EMOTIONAL NEEDSS ( LIKE SKING SUPPORT WHEN YOU ARE STRUGGLING)

Today I’m going to step out on a limb because that’s where the fruit is and say …………..that 
GOD LOVED US BEFORE  WE WERE US - Do you believe that?  
GOD KNITTED US TOGETHER- KNITTING TAKES TIME (See Psalm 139) Think about! It indicates the Creator regards all human beings to as valuable. God cares about the intricate details of our formation. God KNITTED you together inside your mother. God’s love is so extravagant and so inexplicable that He loved us BEFORE WE WERE US (See Jeremiah 1:5) “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you before you were born….” He loves you that much. LOVE HIM BACK . The Pharisees were a prominent religious group in Judea during the time of Jesus, are often mentioned in the New Testament as engaging with Jesus through questions and debates. They questioned Him on various topics, including the law (Torah), ethics, the kingdom of God, and His teachings and actions. Some of these interactions were genuine inquiries, while others were attempts to challenge or trap Him in His words.
For example, they asked Jesus about paying taxes to Caesar (Mark 12:13 17), about the greatest commandment (Matthew 22:34-40), about the resurrection (Matthew 22:23-33), and about His authority (Matthew 21:23-27). These interactions highlight the complex relationship between Jesus and the Pharisees, reflecting broader tensions within Jewish society at the time regarding authority, piety, and adherence to Jewish law. Luke 18:18-27. And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. 20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. 21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. 22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. 24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? 27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Matthew 22:35-40 Then the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the  Sadducees one of them a lawyer asked him a question testing him
Vs. 36 Teacher what is the greatest commandment in the law 
Mark 12:28 - one of the Scribes. Which is the first commandment of  all. Luke 10:25 a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him saying Teacher what shall I do to inherit eternal life. Love the Lord…,and your neighbor 
A scribe was one who copied out the scriptures he spent all of his days coping the scriptures today we would call him a theologian so that’s who was asking Jesus this question. He came to Jesus asking Him this question but also testing Him you see Jewish tradition divided the commandments of Gods law into positive commandments and negative commandments. According to tradition there are 613 commandments in the Old Testament. I know that for some of you you thought that there were only ten and you not doing that well with the first 10. There are 613 commandments in the Old Testament- when you break them down they are like this 248 of these commandments tell us something we should do and 365 tell us something we shouldn’t do. So the scribe came to Jesus and asked him which is the most important. ( it’s like walking in a room and laying out 613 scripture on the table and asking Jesus to pick out the one which is the most important. It’s the first.  Most of us wouldn’t have been surprised if Jesus would have picked out the first commandment in Exodus 20:2-3 which saying I am the lord thy God who brought you out of the land of Egypt out of the house of bondage you shall have no other Gods before me ( that’s the first commandment of the ten commandments) we may have though that Jesus would answer him with that but he did not  Jesus answered him in verses the book of Mark 12:29-30 He said hear O Israel the Lord our God is one God…And you shall love the Lord…….and the second  What Jesus gave to this man as a answer was a SHEMA ( everyone say this out Loud with me) The shema is the title given to this particular concept as it appears in the old testament -In Deuteronomy 6:4-5 Hear O Israel the Lord our God is is inverse 5 you shall Love ….
It is called the SHEMA because the Hebrew word SHEMA is the first word in the verse - The word SHEMA means hear So SHEMA is a command to hear this word. The SHEMA in Jewish tradition is the most important spiritual document among all of their documents. The most important concept In Judaism is the SHEMA.  “Love the Lord you God” This is the Shema Every Jewish child would learn that as their first memory verse and most would repeat it twice a day once in the morning and once at night. The most important thing for a person following  during that time was the Shema and is still vitally important even today. It is the central prayer in the Jewish prayer book. It is the first section that a child learns and its resuscitation is in the synagogue and I’m told that when they recite it they put their right hand over their eyes to blot out everything and they repeat the Shema  So the scribe says to Jesus what is the most important commandment of all the commandments. And Jesus said hear it you shall love the lord God with all …,,,,,… What does he mean when he says this  All of your heart you soul ( volition)  You mind and stry
Jesus adds an editorial addition heart and mind.  The scribe asked Jesus one answer and Jesus gave him two ( Jesus has a right to do that ) I can’t imagine the scribe engaging a intellectual battle with Jesus) You ask one question and you get two answers.., you get more than you bargained for Jesus said Love the Lord and the second like it love your neighbor as your self. Jesus was telling us to love our neighbor in the same was we would like to be loved. The same way that we love ourselves. This scripture is repeated in Matthew and Luke but it takes a little right turn Let’s look In Matthew 7 it says for whatsoever you want men to do to you do to them for this is the law and the prophets. Luke says it this way just as you want me to do do to them likewise. This is the second Part of Jesus answer and is now called the golden rule ( the golden rule is do unto others as you would have them do unto you.)  Love is the culture of the Kingdom of heaven 
The greatest love of all love is self love - you can never love beyond yourself  Faith and love - how do they work  Faith cannot work where love isn’t present - Paul said if I have faith to move a mountain but don’t have love it profits me nothing - he said if I give offerings to the poor but I dont do it in the culture of love I am nothing - he said if I speak in tongues of angels but don’t do it in the culture of love just a noisy symbol. 
Love is more important than faith 
We talk about faith a lot but how is it going to work  Read Galatians 5:6. It says For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith that worketh  by love  ( you can do all of your rituals and your religious custom fasting, pray ……..fasting can be nullified when there is no love, giving can be nullified where there is no love - so the whole operation of the kingdom of god is in the atmosphere of love operated so love is the culture of the kingdom of heaven in which i nab- faith functions and we must live by faith but faith can only work if there is love in the environment 6! I am 
So the greatest thing is the environment which is love 
         And v The greatest love of all is self love 
Self -love is a product of your self worth - If you don’t think you are of any worth you will hate your self if you think you have to worth you fall in love with yourself so the key to self love is self worth  You can never love beyond yourself you can only love people to the degree that you love yourself so yourself is the KEY to your faith working  You can never discover your self worth without discovering God because God is the source of your life and value and worth depends upon the material that you have  Example shoes That have different worth value and cost - you have snake leather crocodile leather cow leather - if you by cow leather and compare it to crocodile leather they are two different prices - the two leathers come from different source - so the value is different  So if you know where something comes from you know what it’s worth  Rocks come from mountains and rocks aren’t worth anything. You split a rock in half and you still have nothing - You cut a diamond in half its still a diamond in two halves  It doesn’t lose its value because of where it came from .  If your tree came from mir woods a redwood tree and my tree came from winton woods the source determine the worth  Your self worth should never be determined by your society because you didn’t com from your society you came from God. 
Peoples opinion of your shouldn’t tell you how much you are worth no government can pass a law to tell you how much you are worth 
We allow people to give us worth here where love falls into trouble when you go around looking for people they give it to you. 
Let me tell you a little secret 90% of people you know don’t like you and you asking them to give your worth. They will give it to you but it will be less than they are less than they have.  They can de value you . They can make sure you are no more valuable than they are. So you cannot trust people to get your worth from. So self love is discovering where you came from God is the source of your self worth - you didn’t come from earth you came from heaven the Bible says. God created you in His image his likeness and His nature and therefore you are God material and that means that God is the source for the true love for yourself. That’s why the Bible says he is love. You cannot love a thing more that its worth 
You can by a time x watch for 5.00 -  or you can buy a Rolex watch for 5,000 the person with th e Rolex watch doesn’t care what time it is

Yes, according to Christian theology, the environment of the kingdom of heaven can indeed be understood as permeated by love because God is often described as the embodiment of love. The Bible states in 1 John 4:8, "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."

Parents would tell you to stop taking about your self Parents would correct you from using the word I and to stop taking about yourself 
And then here comes Jesus would would always speak of himself and he would irritate people ( the Pharisees 
He would say : I am the way, the truth and the life Jesus would keep using the word I ( momma told us to never use that word son) stying. You should never ask someone do you love me That is the wrong question first- the first question is do you love you ( if they are shocked by the question leave fast) This is why marriages don’t work because they go looking for love ( 24:39) You go to marriage not because you are looking for love you go to share the love that you have - you got it already  I am the resurrection  I am the light of the world the bread of life , I am the door, the water of life Jesus never spoke negative about himself- he never excepted anybody’s opinion about himself- he said I am  God is love and if you came out of God love is in you.  The glass is us and the plastic bottle is God ( pour the waters into the glass ( pour it to Half) So whatever is in the bottle is other glass (God is you source (Abba Father. When God say s he is your father he’s not talking about your daddy the word abba ( I am your source you can out of me Question how valuable is the liquid in the glass ( Whatever the valve this is .( the bottle) so you cannot say you love this and hate that. That’s you in the glass ( and you hate yourself) many of you hate yourself in this class I will prove it.  Matthew 22:36-40 Teacher which is the greatest commandment.  Love your neighbor as yourself.  Love God his nature his character  Study the bottle and you will discover the glass. Loving God should result in self love 
The next time you meet someone don’t tell them you love them wrong answer ask them if the love themselves ( 39:15)  You can only love me to the degree you love yourself. 
People get married should they can feel worth. If I can control your worth I can take if back anytime I want and you become worthless.  Discover where you came from -  If you have no self worth and you give yourself to me T the altar then you are giving me something that is worth less.  Take two glasses half full Cedric’s and Jenny may meet ( both glasses are half full) she’s looking for her better half so Jenny meets Cedric. Both feel they have met their better half ( they are both half s people) 50: 50 marriage. They both feel that they have found the person who would fulfill their dreams and be happy for the rest of my life. Do she says fill be us and he fills her up ( he’s not empty) she’d happy in the marriage but he is empty ( Cedric is made angry ) Do he said give me back myself and they pour back into themselves and one is always empty and the other full. ( clap you know you are guilty- so they meet again and both glasses are full. Both are now full. They are filled to the brim with love for themselves. They don’t feel a lack of love for each other and waterever they give to each other is just over flow This is why we have trouble. You don’t make me happy you have to come happy read 1 John 4:16-17) The serpent's intention in the biblical narrative of Adam and Eve isn't explicitly stated as wanting to rob them of self-love. While the serpent's deception didn't directly target their self-love, it did contribute to a rupture in their relationship with themselves, each other, and God. The shame and guilt they experienced after disobeying God's command and realizing their nakedness suggest a profound sense of loss and disconnection.
In this context, the serpent's deception can be seen as disrupting the harmony and self-awareness that characterized Adam and Eve's initial state in the Garden of Eden. It highlights the vulnerability of human nature to deception and temptation and underscores the importance of discernment and obedience in maintaining spiritual integrity and self-awareness. You cannot be a follower of Christ and hate people at the same time (See John 13:34) info
